Day Trip to Weald & Downland Living Museum
The Friends of the Museum invite you to join them for a festive day trip to the Christmas Market at Weald & Downland Living Museum.
SATURDAY 25 NOVEMBER 2017
The Friends of the Vale and Downland Museum are taking a coach party to the Weald & Downland Living Museum. If you would like to look at the information regarding the beautiful ancient buildings the website is http://www.wealddown.co.uk/explore/buildings/
If you know nothing about this Open Air Museum you can find out about it before you go and also enjoy browsing the Christmas Market.
Find that perfect gift and enjoy a great day out at the Museum! Our bustling Christmas Market sees over 100 stands – selling arts, crafts, food, unusual gifts and much more – ‘pop up’ in our collection of rescued historic buildings and houses, in our award-winning Gridshell building and around other locations on the Museum site. Follow the signs and explore!
As well as craft and trade stands, there will be festive music and tasty seasonal treats to sample and buy. The admission fee includes entry to the Museum and to the Christmas Market, which features stands located within and around our collection of rescued historic buildings.
The Gateway Project is our most ambitious development project, and will transform your experience from the moment you arrive, with a fantastic new waterside café, shop and visitor centre.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project is now nearing completion, with fitting out taking place during April and May. It is our plan to open the entrance, shop and introductory galleries in June 2017 and the waterside café later in the spring.
