Japan Day Join us this Easter half term to find out all about Japan, it’s culture and history. Crafts, hands-on activities & demonstrations. Tuesday 10th April 10am -3pm
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Free drop-in session no need to book.
Alfie Meets.. Join Alfie Bear as he meets people & objects from Wantage past & present. A fun session for under 5’s, Mainly aimed at ages 3-5 years but all ages welcome. Space is limited so please book in advance. Suggested £2 per family.
Music Monday’s – A fun & friendly session for under 5’s. Join in with traditional songs & rhymes accompanied by live music. Space is limited so please book in advance. Suggested £2 per family.
Wantage Lego Club. Free monthly meet ups in the Museum Café, Saturday’s 9.30am – 10.30am. Check poster for dates. Space is limited so booking in advance is essential. To book please go to www.eventbrite.com & search for Wantage Lego Club.
Drawing Mania! Now a regular feature at the Museum, All ages welcome. We’ll provide the materials & give free guidance to help you draw something from the Museums collections. First Saturday of the month 10.30am – 11.30am.
Flint Knapping Workshops Join experimental archaeologist James Dilley as he guides you through the process of making flint tools. These two, 2 hour hands on workshops are £15 per person, booking & payment in advance is essential. Sat 28th April 10am & 1pm. Contact the Museum for more information.
Wantage LEGO Expo 2018 This years LEGO Expo is bigger and better than ever! Running for the whole summer holidays there will be plenty of LEGO fun for everyone! 28th July – 8th Sept.
Real Science In another of our free family drop-in events you will have the chance to meet real scientists, find out what they do & how it helps our heritage. Join in with hands-on activities & demos. Free admission but donations welcome.Tuesday 29th May 10am-3pm

We can now provide soft mats & baby toys in our Barn Gallery for a safe place for parents & babies to enjoy in the Museum. If you would like to use these items on your next visit to the Museum please speak to the staff on reception, please note these items are only available by request.
